These terms govern submissions and contributor credits on Asana Journal, and are read together with our Membership Terms and Refund Policy.

Accounts

Opening an Asana Journal account is free. A free account lets you read, comment, manage your profile and submit articles for editorial consideration. Every new account receives one free publishing credit, valid for 7 days from sign-up.

Publishing credits

Articles are published using publishing credits. A credit is only used when your article is actually published — never simply for submitting or for payment. When an article enters editorial review, one valid credit is reserved against it; if the article is published the credit is used, and if it is not selected the credit is returned to your account with its original validity (it is not extended).

All credits carry a validity period. Your available credits, the amount reserved, the amount used and each credit’s expiry date are shown in your contributor account. Credits not used before their expiry date lapse.

Adding credits

Beyond the free credit, additional credits can be added from inside your contributor account. The options, fees and validity for adding credits are shown there before you commit to any payment. Invited contributors may receive complimentary credits from our editorial team.

Editorial review

Every submission — including those made with a paid or complimentary credit — is reviewed and edited by our team before publication. We may edit for clarity, accuracy and house style, request revisions, or decline a piece. Publication is always at our editorial discretion.

Your content

You confirm that work you submit is original and yours to publish, and you grant Asana Journal the right to edit, publish and promote it. You remain responsible for the accuracy and integrity of what you submit.

Shop purchases

Digital back issues and other shop items are governed by our Refund Policy.
